让步状语从句在英语中表示一种转折的语气，所有的让步状语从句都可以翻译为虽然-从句，但是-主句。
#从属连词
（1）although，though
（2）even as，even if，even though

用法
（1）although，though
两个从属连词意义相同，都表示虽然；尽管的意思。同样是让步状语从句出现的标志。例如：
Although it was only nine o’clock，there were few people in the streets.虽然现在才刚刚九点钟，但是在街上已经没有多少人了。
在英文中，Although but的but要省略。
（2）even as，even if，even though
都表示虽然尽管的意思，也是让步状语从句出现的标志。例如：
Even as，he is naturally clever，we do not think he will make much improvement.虽然他天生就很聪明，但是我们并不认为他会获得很大的成就。
even if ,even though的区分
（3）while
while既可以连接时间状语从句又可以连接让步状语从句
例句:While I understand your point of view,I do not agree with it.虽然我理解你的观点，但是我不同意你的观点。

（1）Although sadness also precedes tears,evidence suggests that emotions can flow from musclear responses.虽然悲伤在眼泪之前，但是证据表明情绪能够来自于肌肉的反应。
although后面接从句
（2）After all,it has an ad busness too,which it says will comply with DNT requests, though it is still working out how.毕竟，他也有一单广告的生意，还说这单生意将会遵守不追踪协议，虽然它还在研究怎样遵守这个协议。
第二个逗号前是定语从句，which做主语，will comply with 做谓语动词，it says
做插入语。
