今天我们来看后置状语从句的几种常见用法，以下状语从句通常只能位于主句之后，和小编一起来看是哪几种吧。
a.方式状语从句
1）液体不能象固体那样有固定的形状。
A liquid does not take a definte shape as a solid does.
2）那机器人行动起来仿佛有思想似的。
The robot behaves as lhough it had brains.
b.目的或结果从句
1）为了能及时主持一项重要会议，他决定乘飞机去那儿。
He decided to fly there so that he could be in time to preside over an important meeting.
（注：如果用in order that引导，则状语从句也可前置）
2）那驾驶员仔细地检查了车胎，以防路上漏气。
The driver looked out the tyres carefully lest they should go flat on the way.
3）大礼堂的音响效果好极了，讲话人的声音即使坐在最远坐位上的人也能听得很清楚。
The acoustics of the auditorium are excellentso that the speakers voice can be heard fron the furthest seat.
4）在一个原子中，电子的电荷数、原子核的电荷数两者相等，因此原子是电中性的。
In an atom the charges of the nucleus and those of the electrons are equal in number，so that the atom is electrically neutral.
c.程度状语从句
1）那个物体移动很慢，看起来好象是静止的。
The object moves so slowly that it seenms motionless.
2）这机器大得象座小山。
The machine is so big that it looks like a hill.
d.比较状语从句
1）井水比河水冷得多。
The water in the well is much colder than that in the river.
2）这部车子不象过去行驶得那样平稳了。
The car is running less smoothly than at used to.
但是在the more…the more…结构中，状语从句总是在前。（例句略）
