主从复合句包含两个或多个主谓结构，其中一个（或多个）主谓结构充当句子某一（些）成分，如宾语、状语、定语等等。充当某一成分的句子称为从句，带有从句的句子称为主句。从句对主句的关系是从属关系。主句和从句之间有一定的连接词加连接。

宾语从句

如果一个句子充当宾语，称为宾语从句。其主要句型结构如下：

4.be+形容词+that从句

常用形容词有sure, afraid, happy,surprised等。例如：

I’m surethat the match between the two teams will be exciting.

我确信两个队之间的比赛将会很激动人心。

He"d never been in a class before andhe was not even surethat he should have been teaching.

他以前从未教过课，甚至不确定自己该不该教课。

I’m afraidthat he won’tbe chosen as a top student.

恐怕他不会被选为优等生。

He was happythat he had got an A for his English.

他很高兴他英语得A。

She was surprisedthat he had no words of blame or accusation for her.

使她惊讶的是，他竟然没有对她说任何怪罪或指责的话。

He was surprisedthey had married — they had seemed so different.

他俩居然结婚了——这让他非常惊讶，因为他们实在是太不一样了。
