动词短语是由动词和介词、副词、名词等构成的，在句中作谓语。
113.play against与……比赛
用法：play against通常用于比赛和竞赛。
例句：You must be careful when playing against that team.
在和那个团队比赛的时候，你们一定要小心。
语法结构分析：You是主语， must be是系动词， careful是表语， when playing against that team是状语，when+-ing式词组。
114.play with和……一起玩，玩弄
用法：play with还可以表示“玩弄”，其后的宾语一般是人，也可以是动物。
例句：The gentle sister always likes to play withthe children.
那个温柔的姐姐总是喜欢和孩子们一起玩。
115.point at指着，指向
用法：play at强调指的对象，与point to的区别在于point to强调指的方向。
例句：The manager pointed at the secretary’s nose and was trembling with anger.
经理指着秘书的鼻子气得发抖。
115.point to指向
用法：play to还表示“指明，表明”，其后必须接宾语。
例句：They point to the growing curiosity of TV viewers. (六级)
他们指向电视观众与日俱增的好奇心。
116. quarrel with吵架
用法：quarrel with接的宾语如果是人称代词，必须为宾格形式。
例句：He quarreled with his neighbor over the fence. (12月六级)
他与篱笆那边的邻居吵了一架。
1206作业形容词短语：react to对……作出回应用法：react to是不及物动词词组，不能用于被动语态。
例句：How did Harry Lewis react to Harvard’s decision in hisblog post? (6月六级)
