应变应变strain由载荷、温度、湿度等因素引起的物体局部的相对变形。主要有线应变和剪应变两类。线应变是物体内任一点在某方向上的线元因变形产生的长度增量与原长度的比值,又称正应变。设在直角坐标系xy平面上任一A点的线元A(长d)变形后在x轴上的投影为A′B′(图1),则AB的长度增量为。于是,任一点在某方向上的线元在3个坐标轴方向的线应变分别为,式中u、υ、w分别为物体中任一点沿x、y、z坐标轴向的位移函数。线应变的正、负值表示线元的伸长和缩短。图1 一点的线应变剪应变是物体内任一点两个相互垂直方向上的线元在变形后夹角的改变量(以弧度表示,角度减小为正),又称切应变或角应变。设在直角坐标系xy平面上变形前物体内任一A点成直角的两线元AB(长dx)和AD(长dy)变形后变为A′B′和A′D′(图2)。B′点在y方向的位移等于υ+()dx,D′点在x方向的位移等于u+()dy。略去高阶项后,xy平面上A点的剪应变rxy可表示为,同理,在yz和zx平面上可得,。剪应变分量具有对称性,即rxy=ryxryz=rzyrzx=rxz。物体内某点在各方向上的应变情况称该点的应变状态。物体内任一点的应变状态可由过该点3个相互垂直平面上的9个应变分量εx、rxy、rxz,εy、ryx、ryz,εz、rzx、rzy(其中rxy=ryx,ryz=rzy,rzx=rxz,故只有6个应变分量是独立的)通过坐标变换得出。参见应力。图2 一点的剪应变应变的时间变化率称应变率。实验证明,应变率增加时,许多材料的塑性性质变差,屈服极限(见材料力学性能)提高,应变强化(受外力作用产生塑性变形的某些金属材料,当卸载后再加载时,其屈服极限提高的现象)效应减弱。
