丹东鸭绿江口滨海湿地自然保护区辽宁丹东鸭绿江口滨海湿地国家级自然保护区位于辽宁省东港市境内,面积10.81万公顷,1987年经原东沟县人民政府批准建立,1995年晋升为省级,1997年被批准为国家级,主要保护对象为滨海湿地生态系统。本区地处我国海岸线的最北端,为华北和东北植物区系的交汇处。区内陆地、滩涂、海洋三大生态系统交汇过渡,形成了包括芦苇湿地、沼泽、湖沼、潮沼及河口湾等复杂多样的生态系统类型,自然环境特殊、敏感、脆弱,湿地生态系统的形成与演变漫长而复杂。本区的物种资源比较丰富,高等植物有64科、289种,其中野大豆为国家重点保护野生植物。野生动物中,有鱼类的88种、两栖类3种、鸟类44科240种、底栖动物74种、浮游动物54种。属于国家一级保护动物的有丹顶鹤、白鹳等8种,国家二级保护动物有大天鹅、白琵鹭等30种,中日候鸟保护协定规定保护的227种候鸟中,保护区已发现有121种,占总数的55.3%,为东北亚重要的鸟类栖息的迁徙停歇地。本区还拥有非常丰富的经济动植物资源,年产芦苇5万吨,文蛤、蛏等水产品9万多吨。保护区的建立,为全球提供了一个永久性的滨海湿地生态环境的天然本底和野生生物的基因库,具有重要的经济、社会和环境价值。
