单杠单杠horizontalbar男子竞技体操项目之一。18世纪末，西欧杂技演员在钢丝上做大回环，德国体操家F.L.杨看后受到启发，架设了一副木制单杠，由此逐渐演变成现代的单杠器械。1896年，单杠被列为奥运会比赛项目。现代比赛用单杠由一直径2.8厘米的铁制横杠固定在两根支柱上，两端用钢索固定，横杠离地面2.55米。单杠成套动作全部由摆动动作组成，不能停顿。动作包括向前、向后大回环，各种换握、腾身回环，各种转体、扭臂握以及飞行动作。20世纪50年代初，出现了分腿支撑后回环成手倒立动作。60年代中期出现了高屈体腾越动作。70年代日本运动员原光男创造了旋空翻下，中期出现了飞行动作，末期随着护掌的改进，出现了单臂大回环。80年代中期向着飞行接飞行方面发展。中国运动员从1982～1992年5次获得单杠世界冠军。单杠比赛
