尿素造粒塔制造颗粒尿素的装置。尿素溶液经蒸发浓缩至99.5%以上,所得的尿素熔体经泵送至造粒塔顶,由喷头喷淋成液滴坠落,与空气逆流接触,冷却并固化成为 0.8~2.5mm粒径的颗粒尿素。造粒塔一般为钢筋混凝土浇注的直立中空圆筒状构筑物,塔顶有排风口、操作室,塔上部中央设置喷头,塔底有进风口和物料收集装置(锥形集料斗和刮料机),也有设置流化床冷却装置的。为了防止尿素粉尘污染环境,造粒塔顶装有过滤器或水喷淋湿式除尘装置。由于尿素对水泥腐蚀性很强,塔体内壁必须有保护层,一般采用聚氨酯、环氧树脂作涂层,也有采用耐酸砖等衬里的。保护层表面要求光滑、密实。造粒塔的高度应保证使液滴有足够的时间与空气接触而固化和冷却。通风量一般为8~10km3/t。由于通风有强制通风和自然通风两种,所以塔高设计不同。强制通风塔有效高度为20~45m,自然通风为40~60m。造粒塔截面生产能力为150~250kg/(m2·h)。塔径取决于生产能力,一般为9~20m。造粒喷头有两种:①旋转式喷头,开孔数千个,孔径1.4~1.15mm,转速为 300~340r/min。②固定式多头喷头,每一喷头有上千个孔,孔径0.6mm,对塔底的喷洒直径为2m。
