广州港广州港中国南方最重要的国际贸易枢纽港。由原黄埔港和原广州港合并而成。原黄埔港地处广州市黄埔地区，珠江伶仃洋虎门口内，距广州市区31千米；原广州港位于珠江下游广州市内。广州港是华南与中南地区最大的水陆联运枢纽，经济腹地深远，包括广东、广西、湖南、湖北、云南、贵州、四川等省和自治区。港口拥有生产泊位130个，其中可停靠万吨级船舶的深水泊位22个，以及22个轮驳船泊位，有100万平方米货物堆场。1991年港口吞吐量达4700万吨，通过旅客422万人次。近年港口进行了大规模建设，主要有墩头西基煤码头3.5万吨级泊位2个。在新沙港区第一期工程中建设3.5万吨级泊位10个，于1988年10月动工的煤炭、石油泊位各1个，通用泊位2个和散货泊位1个，均已陆续投产。广州港货物集疏运一半以上靠水运，其次靠铁路。港口装卸主要货种有煤炭、石油、粮食、化肥、建筑材料、杂货，以及集装箱等。广州港根据码头分布和货种情况，成立若干港务公司，如黄埔、西基、新港、新沙、新风、河南、芳村等港务公司，黄埔集装箱公司，以及几个客运站。广州港集装箱码头
