操作主义操作主义operationism主张以操作定义科学概念的一种学说。20世纪代产生于美国，50年代流行于西方其他国家。创始人为美国实验物理学家P.W.布里奇曼，代表人物有D.胡格、A.腊波波特等，B.F.斯金纳则把操作主义引入心理学。操作主义所说的操作，起初主要指实验室的操作，后来也包括纸和笔的操作及言语操作。操作主义试图把所有科学概念与实验操作联系起来，以消除操作上不可确定的科学概念和术语。它认为，科学概念与相应的操作同义，凡是不能与操作相联系，不能由操作定义的概念，都是没意义的。操作主义具有浓厚的实用主义和约定论色彩，其理论在现代西方哲学、自然科学乃至社会科学、人文科学方面均有一定影响。
