一、使用形容词的原级
1. 肯定句常用“as+形容词原形+as”的结构。例如：
The lights in your room are as bright as those in mine.
你房间里的灯和我房间里的一样亮。
2. 在否定句中，既可用not as…as…结构，也可用not so…as…结构。例如：
My handwriting is not as/so beautiful as yours.
我的字不如你的漂亮。
3. 若第一个as 后的形容词作定语修饰名词，则词序为“as+形容词(+a/an)+名词+as”。例如：
The girl has as sweet a voice as the bird.
这个姑娘的歌喉像鸟一样悦耳。
二、使用“比较级+and+比较级”表示事物本身程度的逐渐增长，意为“越来越……”。
例如：
To learn English well is becoming more and more important.
学好英语变得越来越重要。
三、使用“the+比较级(+主语+谓语)，the+比较级(+主语+谓语)”表示一方的程度随着另一方程度的增长而平行增长，意为“越……(就)越……”。
例如：
The longer we stay in the countryside, the more we love it.
我们在乡下呆的时间越长，就越爱乡下。
The busier he is, the happier he feels.
他越忙，就觉得越幸福。
四、使用“not+比较级+than”表示“一方不如另一方”，“no+比较级+than”表示“前者和后者一样都不……”；但 no more than 表示“仅仅”。
例如：
He is not taller than I. 他不如我高。
He is no taller than I. 他和我一样矮。
五、比较级表示最高级意义。
形容词的比较级与否定词连用可表示最高级的意思。例如：
There is no greater love than that given by parents in the world.
父母之爱，是世间最伟大的爱。
六、比较级句式常见错误。
1. 修饰词出现错误：more 不可修饰比较级，但可以用much 来加强语气，意为“……得多”｡｢“更……”。例如：
My friend looks more younger than I. (×)
My friend looks much younger than I. (√)
我的朋友看起来比我年轻。
2. 比较级的对象或范围出现错误。例如：
The weather of Beijing is colder than Shanghai. (×)
The weather of Beijing is colder than that of Shanghai. (√) 北京的天气比上海冷。
China is larger than any country in Asia. (×)
China is larger than any other country in Asia. (√) 中国比亚洲其他国家都大。
