一、宾语从句定义：在句子中期宾语作用的从句，换句话说，整个宾语从句相当于一个宾语成分。
从属代词：that，if，whether
连接代词：who，whom，whose，what
连接副词：when，where，why，how
例子：He told me（that）he would go to college the next year.
译文大意：他告诉我他明年会去上大学。
他告诉我一件事，“这个一件事”就是句子的宾语，这里的宾语不是用一个单词表示的，而是一个句子来表达的。用“he would go to college the next year”这个宾语从句来表达了“这件事是明年上大学”。
宾语从句在使用时，需要一个关系词，也叫作连词，来连接前面的成分和后面的宾语从句。连词有从属代词，连接代词，连接副词。
（一）从属连词:that, if , whether。单纯起连接作用，在句子中不充当任何成分。
that 可以不翻译成任何意思，if/whether翻译成“是否”。
1.He said that he was there yesterday.
译文大意：他说昨天他就在那里。
他说的内容用的一个宾语从句“he was there yesterday”来表达。宾语从句主谓宾状都有，完整句型，不缺成分，that起单纯的从属连接作用，可以不翻译，可以直接省略。
2.He doesn"t know if / whether he was there.
译文大意：他不知道是否他在那里。
宾语从句“he was there”为完整句子，不缺成分， if / whether也单纯起从属连接作用，但是 if / whether有“是否”的意思。不能省略。
（二）连接代词：who（谁），whom（谁），whose（谁的），what（什么）
1.Do you know who has won the game?
译文大意：你知道谁赢了这场比赛吗？
宾语从句“has won the game”，问的是“赢得这场比赛的人是谁”，因此宾语从句中缺主语成分，连接要用连接代词who。
2.Do you know whom he likes ?
译文大意：你知道他喜欢谁吗？
宾语从句“he likes”，他喜欢谁，“谁”在宾语中做宾语，这里选用连接代词whom。
3.Do you know whose book it is ?
译文大意：你知道那是谁的书吗？
宾语从句“book it is”，原句应该是“it is sb"s book”,从句中缺属格成分，用whose。
4.Do you know what he is looking at ?
译文大意：你知道他在看什么吗？
宾语从句“he is looking for”,从句中缺宾语，用what。
温馨提示：句子中宾语从句的语序是 主——谓——宾。当疑问词是主语的时候语序还是主谓宾（如例1），当疑问词不是主语，有自己的主语，也是按照主谓宾排列，但是这个宾语正是我们要疑问的部分，疑问词一定要提前，且句子的其他顺序不变（如例2）
（三）连接副词：when，where，why，how
1.He wants to know when the party is.
译文大意：他想知道聚会是什么时候的。
宾语从句“the party is”，缺时间状语，用when，正常语序为“the party is when（什么时候）”，宾语从句疑问词提前为“when the party is”
2.He wants to know where the party is.
译文大意：他想知道聚会是在什么地方举行。
宾语从句“the party is”，缺地点状语，用where，正常语序为“the party is where（什么地方）”，宾语从句疑问词提前为“where the party is”
3.He wants to know why they have a party.
译文大意：他想知道为什么会举行聚会。
宾语从句“they have a party”，缺原因状语，用why。
4.He wants to know how they come.
译文大意：他想知道他们是怎么来的。
宾语从句“how they come”，缺方式状语，用how。
