加 +
“加”：plus(介词)，and(连词)或add(动词)
2+3=? 可表示为：
How much is two plus three?
2+3=5 可表示为
Two plus three is five．
Two and three is equal to five．
Two and three makes five.
Two added to three equals five．
或者 If we add two to/and three, we get five.二加三等于五
一定要看清'加减乘除'的词性，这是表达的关键
减 —
“减”： minus(介)或 take from, subtract(动)

How much is ten minus six?
10-6=4 可表示为：
Ten minus six is four．
If you subtract 6 from 10, you get 4.
Take six from ten and the remainder is four.
Six (taken) from ten is four．
乘 ×
“乘”：times(介词)或multiply(动词), mutiplied by(分词)

3X4=12
Three times four is twelve．
Multiply three by four, and we get twelve．
Three multiplied by four makes twelve．
除 ÷
“除”：divide(动词), divided by (分词)
16÷4=?
How much is sixteen divided by four?
16÷4＝4
Sixteen divided by four is four．
Sixteen divided by four equals/gives/makes four.
由此可见“=”可以用 is， equals, makes 来表述
