中国国家邮政局于二oo二年十一月八日发行,《黄河壶口瀑布》特种邮票一套一枚(小型张)，面值八元。壶口瀑布是黄河唯一的大瀑布，位于山西省吉县，与陕西省宜川县相邻。滔滔黄河，奔流到此，状如壶口，形成落差三十余米的瀑布，气势磅礴，为国家重点风景名胜区。世界第一黄色瀑布壶口瀑布 在山西吉县城西南25公里黄河之中。此地两岸夹山，河底石岩上冲刷成一巨沟，宽达30米，深约50米，滚滚黄水奔流至此，倒悬倾注，若奔马直入河沟，波浪翻滚，惊涛怒吼，震声数里可闻。其形如巨壶沸腾，故名壶口。春秋季节水清之时，阳光直射，彩虹随波涛飞舞，景色奇丽。明陈维藩《壶口秋风》诗有“秋风卷起千层浪，晚日迎来万丈红”句，可谓真实写照。黄河壶口瀑布位于山西省吉县和陕西省宜川县之间，景区面积约100公里2，为省级风景名胜区，1988年被定为国家重点风景名胜区。在中国，从来没有一条河被赋予这么多的荣誉和责任，黄河在被尊为“母亲”时，也被寄托了太多的历史使命。黄河流经晋陕峡谷到达吉县境内，水面一下子从400多米宽收缩为50余米，《书·禹贡》中只用八个字：“盖河漩涡，如一壶然。”壶口瀑布的形象跃然纸上。位于晋陕峡谷山西吉县境内的壶口瀑布出现冰瀑奇观。平日里“湍势吼千牛”的壶口瀑布，在“冷静”中呈现出别样风情：黄河水从两岸形状各异的冰凌、层层叠叠的冰块中飞流直下，激起的水雾在阳光下映射出美丽的彩虹，瀑布下搭起美丽的冰桥，令人不禁慨叹大自然的鬼斧神工。位于黄河中游，晋陕陕谷中段，山西省吉县龙王？。地理位置为北纬36度8分10秒，东经110度26分40秒，海拔448.1米。以壶口瀑布为中心，北至马粪滩，南至小船窝，西至峡谷地域，东至人祖山，总面积100公里。东距吉县县城45公里，距尧都临汾市169公里；西距陕西宜川县城49公里；距革命圣地延安170公里；北距山西省省会太原387公里；南距陕西省省会西安449公里。走过宽阔的河滩，人可以与壶口瀑布非常近距离地接触。非汛期时节，稍有胆量的人可以沿着凹进石崖的一道被水冲刷的石槽绕到瀑布内，领略铺天盖地的洪流从头顶越过，那种惊涛骇浪的视觉体验，与《黄河大合唱》给人的精神洗礼一样荡气回肠。黄河壶口瀑布以排山倒海的壮观气势著称于世。滔滔黄河到此被两岸苍山挟持，束缚在狭窄的石谷中，300米余宽的洪流骤然收束为50米余，这时河水奔腾怒啸，山鸣谷应，形如巨壶沸腾，最后从20米余高的断层石崖飞泻直下，跌入30米余宽的石槽之中，听之如万马奔腾，视之如巨龙鼓浪，形成壶口大瀑布中的“雷首雨穴”、“万丈龙槽”、“彩桥通天”等种种奇观。明陈维藩《壶口秋风》诗有“秋风卷起千层浪，晚日迎来万丈红”句，可谓真实写照。名胜区内还有孟门夜月、壶口冰桥等著名景点。在壶口瀑布往下3000米的河道中有一块巨大的奇石，人们称它为“孟门山”，河水至此就分成两路，从巨石两侧飞泻而过，然后又合流为一。这里又是人们观赏“孟门夜月”的地方。每当农历月半，夜临孟门，可见河底明月高悬。站北南观，水中明月分为两排飞舞而下；立南北望，水里明月合二而一迎面而来。每到冬季，黄河上游的水夹杂着大大小小的冰块涌至壶口，叠摞堆积起来，和石岸相平，形成了连接陕西、山西两省的天然通道。“壶口冰桥”亦为一景。景区内还有明代码头、同治长城、四铭碑亭、龙门飞渡等人文景观，有唐太宗李世民带兵征战的挂甲山，宋元年间的坤柔圣母殿等。小型张邮票规格：60×40毫米小型张外形规格：130×90毫米版 别：影写设 计 者：阎炳武、刘弘摄 影 者：崔晓红、李信责任编辑：刘雨苏印 制 厂：北京邮票厂
