风浪风浪windwaves在风直接作用下产生的水面波动。风浪中同时出现许多高低长短不等的波,波面较陡,波峰附近通常有浪花或大片泡沫,此起彼伏,瞬息万变,初看时似无规律可循,但如果将波高、波长和周期等量视为随机量,就能用统计学的观点,研究风浪的运动规律,并根据风来计算一些特征量,如部分大波或各种波的平均波高和平均周期等。这些代表风浪强度的特征量,决定于风速,风作用区域(风区)的长短或风作用时间(风时)的久暂。暴风浪在一定风速下,风浪随风区的扩展和风时的延长而成长。在离风区上侧边界很远的地方,风浪只随时间成长,处于过渡状态;在风区上侧边界附近,风浪只随至此边界的距离的增大而成长,处于定常状态。如果风速一定,则风浪成长至一定的大小时,内部消耗的能量和从风摄取的能量达到平衡。此时,即使风区和风时不受限制,风浪便不再成长,而处于充分成长的状态。
