道路交叉口道路交叉口roadintersection两条或两条以上道路的相交处。车辆、行人汇集、转向和疏散的必经之地，为交通的咽喉。因此，正确设计道路交叉口，合理组织、管理交叉口交通，是提高道路通行能力和保障交通安全的重要方面。道路交叉口分平面交叉口和立体交叉口两类。平面交叉口是道路在同一个平面上相交形成的交叉口。通常有T形、Y形、十字形、X形、错位、环形等形式。在无交通管制的平面交叉口，车辆通过时因驶向不同而相互交叉形成冲突点，在三岔路口有3个冲突点，在四岔路口有16个，在五岔路口则有50个冲突点。而每一个冲突点实际上就是一个潜在的交通事故点。因此，在平面交叉口通常用各种交通信号灯组织交通，环行组织交通，用各种交通岛、交通标志、道路交通标线等渠化交通。立体交叉口是道路不在同一个平面上相交形成的立体交叉。它将互相冲突的车流分别安排在不同高程的道路上，既保证了交通的通畅，也保障了交通安全。立体交叉主要由立交桥、引道和坡道3部分组成。立交桥是跨越道路的跨路桥或下穿道路的地道桥。引道是道路与立交桥相接的桥头路。坡道是道路与立交桥下路面连接的路段。互通式立体交叉还有连接上、下两条相交道路的匝道。立体交叉有分离式和互通式两种。分离式立体交叉是只修立交桥而无匝道，相交道路互不连通，只保证直行交通互不干扰。互通式立体交叉设有连接上、下相交道路的匝道，可使各路车辆转向。它又可分为完全互通式立体交叉和部分互通式立体交叉。前者能保证相交道路上各方向的车辆可行驶到其他方向，有苜蓿叶型、喇叭型、定向型、迂回型、环型等立体交叉；后者是对交通量很少的某方向交通仍作平面交叉处理以限制该方向的交通，有菱型（又称钻石型）、部分苜蓿叶型立体交叉。立体交叉的布设要考虑相交通路的性质、设计交通量、通行能力和交叉口的交通性质与交通量分配。在立体交叉口通常设置交通标志以引导车流。
