生物磁学（biomagnetism）生物磁学（biomagnetism）是研究生物磁特性和磁场对生物的作用的学科，是探索生命现象和本质的重要方面。生物磁学真正成为一门学科是在20世纪60年代后，由于磁学及其技术的发展，出现了超导量子干涉器（SQUID）高灵敏度磁检测仪和核磁共振、顺磁共振及穆斯堡尔等仪器，研究微观结构电磁现象推动了生物磁学的发展。各个层次的生物组织具有磁特性。多数生物大分子（如DNA和某些酶）具有各向异性的抗磁性，少数为顺磁性（如某些蛋白质、酶和自由基），只有极少数具有铁磁性。生物组织的磁场由生物电流引起，如心磁场、脑磁场。肺磁场则由外源性铁磁物质浸入而产生。某些鸟类、昆虫、微生物、细菌、植物种子中存在磁性物质。生物磁学的研究和技术，已渗透到结构生物学、生理学、病理学及药理学等各个学科领域，它在医药学、农业、生物工程等领域的应用范围正在不断扩大。
